Post-Conference Master Classes

ALCM Post Conference  •  Master Classes & Denomination Classes

Have you ever left a summer conference full of ideas, but not sure if you have the skills you need to implement them in the fall, back home? Have you ever met an inspiring teacher, who you trusted, and wished you had time to study with them, to give you some honest input to improve your skills, but you lacked the opportunity or time? If you have had these thoughts then we have created a solution for you next August with the ALCM Seattle 2011 Post-Conference. The idea was developed more than a year ago, when Seattle was being scouted as the sight of our next national conference. The planning team dreamed of creating a one day event when ALCM members and local musicians could take intensive, hands on classes for part of a day, learning from top notch musicians in specific areas. Thank goodness, at that time, some nationally known musicians embraced the idea right then and agreed to be teachers, including worship leaders from our denominations. Our placement in Seattle allowed us to recruit other local musicians also known nationally and regionally for their skill and artistry in their areas. But that was not enough; what we really were looking for were clinicians who were also enthusiastic teachers with experience. The result is our Post Conference event, on Thursday, August 4, 2011, with seven master teachers covering a number of topics in morning and afternoon sessions.
