The Region 1 summer 2012 conference will be held at the Cathedral Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Experience the history and rich musical traditions of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, founded in the foothills of the Poconos by Moravian settlers on Christmas Eve, 1741 and home to the Moravian Church in North America.
· Browse in the Moravian Bookshop, founded in 1745, the oldest continuously operating bookseller in America
· Enjoy the European atmosphere of Bethlehem’s historic downtown
· Participate in a Moravian Lovefeast (hymn sing) in the old chapel of Central Moravian Church
· Experience stellar organs in historic spaces on a pre-conference organ crawl to neighboring Allentown
· Plenary addresses by Timothy J. Wengert, Ministerium of Pennsylvania Professor, Reformation History, The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia
· Workshops on global music with organ, organ registration, Moravian music history, leading congregational song from the piano, new choral music, “difficult conversations,” and much more.
