DIRECTOR OF MUSIC �?? CHOIR DIRECTOR and ORGANIST
First Wayne Street United Methodist Church is a cosmopolitan downtown church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a metropolitan area with 300,000 population. We are seeking a Director of Music �?? Choir Director and Organist. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor�??s degree or higher in music; be an accomplished organist; have experience and training in choral directing; possess administrative ability; have strong personal spirituality; and hold respect and appreciation for the United Methodist Church and its diversity. First Wayne Street has a longstanding quality music tradition and supports several active Music concert series. The organ is a 1974 Beckerath, 3 manual, 51 ranks, with mechanical action. (See web site for further details www.fwsumc.org.) Sanctuary instruments also include a new Yamaha concert grand piano, Malmark handbells and chimes, a Yamaha Clavinova and set of Yamaha Timpani.
