- Description
- Seeking full time Director of Music (Organist/ Choir Director ) for a 500 member congregation. Applicant will collaborate with the Senior Pastor in the planning of choral and instrumental music for CLCâ??s worship services and provide leadership for these and other auxiliary musical groups such as bell choir, youth/children choir, Sunday School childrenâ??s music programs, small ensembles and special programs. Training in Orff and other childrenâ??s music programs (such as Kindermusik, Musikgarten, Music Together) is highly desirable. He/she will be required to perform many styles of music employing a blend of traditional and contemporary instrumental and vocal music. Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Music in Organ or Sacred Music, demonstrated mastery of organ and piano techniques, proficiency in choral directing and five years parish experience with demonstrated track record as revitalizer and builder of music programs eager to engage and equip people to grow in their faith. Applicant will be directly accountable to the Senior Pastor and will accept the provisions of CLCâ??s Personnel Policies. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. CLC houses a 35 rank 3 manual 1966 Reuter organ in excellent condition with a 1994 Blackinton console, with synthesizers playable from the console via Peterson Electro-Musical MIDI Resource System, as well as a Rieger-Kloss studio grand piano.
