- Description
- The Director of Music/Choir Director is responsible for directing the adult choir (weekly rehearsals on Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30 pm, Sept.-May) during one weekly Sunday service (alternating each week between 8:00 and 10:30 am); to participate in worship planning with the clergy and communicate with the organist and Director of Children�??s Music; to organize the music program by scheduling pianists and other instrumentalists; to oversee and administer the music budget; to coordinate event requests (concerts, etc); and to oversee volunteers in the music program. Faith Lutheran is a vibrant and growing LCMS congregation just minutes from Indiana University. In our mission we are �??God�??s Faithful Fellowship, Worshipping and Witnessing�?�, and our musical and liturgical practices reflect that. We are currently seeking to fill all music positions: Organist, Director of Music/Choir Director, and Director of Children�??s Music (choir and bells). We are hopeful that at least two of these positions can be held by one person, if not all three. Compensation for each position will be commensurate with the candidate�??s education and experience.
