- This part-time position will be hired in conjunction with a part-time music director position.
Interim position; can be permanent. Master's degree in music or equivalent experience is preferred. Knowledge of worship in the Reformed Tradition is desirable. Job includes working with Part-time Music Director and Senior Pastor to coordinate the music for worship services and accompanying professional and volunteer musicians on organ, piano or synthesizer. Covenant is a vibrant 600-member church. There are two services each Sunday morning that have a rich variety of music. Music is an integral and highly valued part of our worship experience and our staff is strong and stable. Ministry revolves around Jesus' directive to love God, love neighbor and make disciples.
Our instruments include a three-manual Peebles-Herzog organ with 43+ ranks (rebuild and expansion of a 1964 Moeller); Hubbard harpsichord; six-octave Malmark Choir Chimes; five-octave Malmark handbells; three-octave Whitechapel handbells; four grand pianos (including two Steinways); variety of synthesizers, Orff and percussion instruments, drum set, congas, etc.
