- Minister of Music position available�??Emanuel Lutheran Church (ELCA), Pleasantville, NY.
Candidate must have experience managing a music ministry of significant scope; have excellent organ, piano, choral and instrumental conducting skills; and have outstanding interpersonal skills. The applicant should be open to incorporating various styles of sacred music in worship. A degree in music is preferred, as well as previous experience with Lutheran or other liturgical traditions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
�?� Selecting and preparing music for worship services throughout the Church year.
�?� Leading choral and instrumental groups that include members of all ages.
�?� Working closely with the Pastor; Worship, Music & Arts Committee; Director of Handbells; Youth Minister; and Office Administrator.
There are two services September through June and one adult choir rehearsal per week. There is one service during July and August.
We offer a competitive salary / benefit / vacation package and right of first refusal for weddings, funerals and other paid events. Salary commensurate with experience and ALCM guidelines.
