- Description
- The ideal candidate will have excellent piano skills and the ability to play the organ. The congregation generally follows a blended/liturgical style of worship utilizing the full breath of Evangelical Lutheran Worship including traditional hymnody, modern hyms and songs, world music and contemporary music. A signature program of our church is our Praise Band consisting of Middle School and High school youth. The Praise band consists of brass, woodwinds, drum set, guitar keyboard, etc. The person will love children and youth, plan events and programs and have the ability to recruit and energize volunteers and committees. The youth component includes planning monthly youth gatherings, mission trips, ELCA Youth Gatherings, and outdoor ministry experiences. The Minister of Music, Youth and Christian Education works with the entire congregation as we strive to increase our knowledge and love of God. Specific responsibilities include coordinating the Sunday School program, Vacation Bible School and a weekly after-school program for elementary-age youth.
